My pink home's worth £3m but fame-hungry influencers keep taking selfie outside

A granddad whose pink house has been named one of the world's most striking says he is gearing up for an "invasion" of social media influencers. Peter Lee's home in Kensington Place, Notting Hill, west London, is a magnet for men and women looking to shoot video and take photos in arguably one of the capital's most Instagrammable locations. One year Mr Hill, 79, spotted a fitness influencer doing the splits on his railings.

'We paid £385k for our dream home but it's now an unsellable nightmare'

A husband and wife have said their dream home has turned into an "unsellable" nightmare, alleging they have been failed by the body set up to protect buyers. Jamie and Sally Bird first viewed their four-bedroom home in the village of Longhirst, near Morpeth, Northumberland in the summer of 2022. Looking for somewhere spacious enough to share with their family, and with room to accommodate the needs of their 18-year-old daughter who has autism, the house appeared to be ideal.

UK the 'laggard' of Europe as it 'falls behind' in heat pump investment race

Dr Jan Rosenow, Director of the Regulatory Assistance Project NGO, told Express.co.uk central and eastern European countries have attracted millions of euros in a single year in the development of heat pump manufacturing capacity while Britain lags behind. He said: "That's something the UK needs to be quite wary of so that we don't fall behind and that others overtake us. Especially after Brexit it's important the UK develops its own domestic market on heat pumps and gets that inward investment."

Support Express campaign to bestow knighthoods on Rob Burrow and Kevin Sinfield

The Daily Express today launches a new crusade to bestow knighthoods on tireless campaigners Rob Burrow and Kevin Sinfield. Mr Burrow, a former rugby league star, was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) in 2019. His former Leeds Rhinos teammate, Mr Sinfield, reduced the nation to tears when he carried his friend over the finish line at the Yorkshire city's marathon last month after pushing him for 26.2 miles in a specially adapted wheelchair during the duo's latest fundraising effort.

Crowds flock to Windsor to say 'Thank you' to the Queen

Nursery nurse Maggie Mullan, 60, and her husband Martin Mullan, 58, travelled from their home in Chertsey, Surrey, to lay a bouquet in front of Cambridge Gate. Maggie said: "We've known nothing but having a Queen. I feel like a massive part of our history has been lost now. We all knew it was going to happen, but it is still such a shock. "She gave so much to the country in good times and bad times. We were so lucky to have her."

Boris told 'Get a grip' after Old Bexley and Sidcup by-election win

Old Bexley and Sidcup is traditionally a true blue Tory stronghold with the party retaining the seat since it was established in 1983. But the vote came in the wake of a corruption scandal and allegations of sleaze after former MP Owen Patterson was found by the House of Commons Standards Committee to have inappropriately lobbied ministers on behalf of a company he worked for. Charity shop volunteer Paula Woodcock described the by-election result as predictable and partly testimony to the popularity of James Brokenshire who was the seat's MP until his death in October aged 53 from cancer.
